What a browser-based client can and can’t do
- Requests go directly from your browser — there’s no proxy. The target server must allow cross-origin requests (CORS) from this site, or the browser will block the response.
- Browsers control some request headers (such as Host, Cookie, Origin, and Content-Length); they can’t be set here.
- Only response headers the server exposes to JavaScript are visible. Exact on-the-wire headers and total transfer size aren’t available to web pages.
- Pages served over HTTPS can’t call http:// endpoints.
- Cookies and stored credentials are never sent, and nothing you enter is saved.
